Warning! Vulnerability in ispmanager

As part of the bug bounty program, Ispmanager partners have identified a vulnerability that allows root access. To fix the problem, upgrade the control panel to stable 6.88.1 or beta 6.90.1.

Pricing for ispmanager will change on February 1, 2024

The ispmanager company has revised the prices for the control panel due to increased maintenance and product development costs. Therefore, we have to change the prices as well.

Technical maintenance of the Cyber Backup (ex-Acronis) service

Starting from January 1, the prices for Microsoft software will increase by 5-10%

On January 1, 2022, Microsoft raises the prices for its software by 5-10%. The company explained that the price increase is due to the release of a new version of Windows Server 2022 and new versions of RDS and Office.

For our part, we also have to raise the prices for all Microsoft products by 10%. From January 1, when ordering a new or extending the existing server, Microsoft software will be charged at the new price.

Prohibition of cryptocurrency mining on ISPserver servers

We notice the frequent cases of the Chia Coin cryptocurrency of mining on virtual and dedicated servers. In this regard, ISPserver reminds you that it is forbidden to use our resources for mining.

Any mining processes load the server resources significantly. Mining Chia Coin loads hard drives and SSDs. It leads to much faster degradation and failure of the equipment.

New terms of providing additional IPv4 addresses

It has long been known that the number of IPv4 addresses is coming to an end. According to experts, they were supposed to end by 2020. Although these forecasts did not come true, the number of available IPv4 decreased significantly while their value increased dramatically.

High CPU, a new powerful tariff for large websites and resource-demanding projects

Great news from ISPserver! We have launched a new high-speed tariff - High CPU especially for resource-demanding processor-intensive projects.

High CPU tariff is powered by the next-generation Intel Core i9-10900K water-cooled processors, accelerating to a record rate of 5.3 GHz on one core and up to 4.9 GHz on all others at the same time. The High CPU servers use fast NVMe drives, which are 2-3 times faster than their predecessors - SSD.

Popular browsers will no longer trust SSL certificates with a validity of more than 398 days

Starting from September 1, 2020, certification centers will limit the validity of SSL certificates to one year, or to 398 days to be more explicit. This decision was made by CA/Browser Forum members in order to improve the security of websites and their users. It is assumed that this measure will reduce the number of certificates that were issued, but abandoned by the owners for various reasons. Such certificates are potentially dangerous because they can be hacked and used by attackers for phishing or other manipulation of users’ data.

Cloud Server — no downtime - no financial loss

Last week we launched failover cloud server, based on cluster supercomputers technology.

How a cloud server could help mitigate financial loss:

The system is built with redundancy. User data and physical nodes of the system are constantly duplicated. When one of the systems fail your project will be immediately restored on an available node.

Read/write operations are done with an SSD, а high speed InfiniBand network connects two clusters.
