Virtual server software

All the Virtual Private Servers from ISPserver come installed with a wide variety of software products. The software includes numerous popular programs to suite you business needs. After you have purchased a Virtual Private Server, you can start working right away!

All the software installed on your VPS is free. It does not occupy disk space, and you may be sure that our technical specialists will regularly update it.

We provide you with several operating system sets for your VPS. You may choose one that will best suit your hosting needs. You can choose a required operating system while ordering a virtual server or later through the VDSmanager control panel.

Server administrators can install any supplemental software or modify the existing one.

Available pre-installed software

Below are pre-installed software templates for your virtual private server:

1. FreeBSD 8 with preinstalled ISPmanager (full list of packages)

   We would recommend using this template to all our users. The latest version of the FreeBSD-8 operating system and the software such as Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.1, PHP 5, Perl 5.10. and ISPmanager that you can use to manage your servers are installed on the server.

   In the VDSmanager panel you can locate it as "FreeBSD-8-ISPmanager".

2. FreeBSD 8 - basic installation

   The server comes installed with the basic FreeBSD-8 operating system without additional software. It does not contain Apache, ISPmanager, MySQL and other popular packages. You may install the required application software yourself, if necessary. The server running on such a platform is an ideal solution for individual configuration. We would recommend choosing this template for advanced users.

   In the VDSmanager panel you can locate this template as "FreeBSD-8-minimal".
